Update on my friend Pete Christensen

For anyone that remembers, quite a while ago, I published a post about my friend Pete Christensen. Pete and I worked together at the station and we did some comedy bits for All Comedy Radio. But Pete had developed cancer. Since then, Pete's cancer has gone into remission or at the very best, it's gone all together. I posted a pic of Pete when he was in Illinois undergoing Chemotherapy where he looked like the Kung Fu Master from the old TV series Kung Fu. That's the picture on the left.

Now, you have to know Pete. I also mentioned that he is always Mr Optimist. Pete never has a bad word to say about anyone, which is certainly among others, one of his most endearing qualities. I used to kid him about always being so positive, but he just shines it on and says, "what's the point in letting it get you down?". He's right. Pete is a great comedian, that's his passion and it shows. He has the unique ability to look at life and come away with observations that most people wouldn't catch. He is just gifted at what he does.

So, Pete sends me this clip. He is now working with a songwriter, performer and fellow comedian, Ian Calvin as "the blackjack brothers". They have a website that you can go to called "AZcleancomedy". They do comedy that is G-rated and not a lot of blue, in fact, perhaps some edgy stuff, but nothing that would offend most families. You might want to zip over and take a look. It's funny and the DVD is probably a riot.

So, I am posting this clip that he sent me. It's only 2 minutes, but you can see them performing and I am sure, you can buy a DVD at some point. It's good to see Pete working on his comedy again and I am hoping that he has all the success with the gig that he can handle.
