One more example of how the Clinton's use deceit

This story was actually brought to my attention by my mother. I read it and realized this is a favorite tactic of the Clinton's. This particular story is from ABC news, and it concerns a company in Valparaiso, Indiana named Magnequench that made magnets used in smart bombs. Manequench has since been sold and the jobs went to the Chinese. Watch this video and notice what the Clinton's did and then how her thighness tries to spin it to blame the Bush administration. Integrity anyone?

If you keep getting deeper, quit digging the hole

With all the controversy surrounding Barack Obama's former pastor, Jeremiah Wright, it seems that once again that race has been brought up as an issue once again. While I harbor no ill feelings personally against Mr. Obama, other than the fact he is a hard left marxist-lite, typical of the modern left nowadays, I do have a problem with the fact that once again race somehow is now at the fore of the discussion.

And that's my problem.

I have never thought of Obama as a black man first, no, to me it was about the fact that he was this relatively new congressman that seems to have started running for the presidency since he was elected to congress. To me, Obama is a congressman that happens to be black. Obama has been running for president since he got into congress. Checking his congressional record, one finds no real substantive or meaningful legislation that Obama has endorsed or been the author of. Instead you find a history of voting "present" meaning he's there, but has not voted for or against whatever pending legislation brought up for a vote.

That aside, to me, Barack Obama is yet another democrat that should he get into office, will raise taxes, increase the power of the nanny state, make a mess of our foreign policy and reduce, if not eliminate, any gains we have made in the war on terror by thinking that talking to our enemies, real or perceived, will somehow bring us "peace in our time".

I am sick of the talk of race. I am just tired of every time a black man or woman is running or elected to office, that the race issue has to come out. I am one to believe, that most Americans and people in general, are not racists. Why? simply because people are too busy living their own lives to pay attention to whether someone is black, brown, yellow, etc.

And the problem to me is, it isn't the white race that is bringing this up so much, since most liberal, left leaning whites tend to continue to carry the stigma of guilt for slavery, but rather the black extremists that want to keep the issue of race at the fore of the publics attention. Rather like a wronged wife would want to keep bringing up the indiscretions of a a cheating husband long after the offense was committed. The issue in doubt has been resolved or should have been long ago, yet to perpetuate guilt and shame, it is brought up over and over again, forever trapping the offender in their shame and impelling them to constantly try and make up for their sin.

Sure, there is still racism. It has existed since man first appeared on the earth and will continue to exist till the end of time. But I am not guilty of capturing, transporting, chaining or abusing black folk by virtue of being a "white" person. Anyone alive today is not responsible for the sin of slavery. I, and most other people, are not in league with others to try and oppress blacks, hispanics, orientals or whomever, in order to succeed. I don't have time for that. I am too busy trying to live my life the best I can. And it gets really old whenever there is a trial for a black person and the first thing that is claimed, is that somehow race is what is on trial, not their character or their crime, but the fact that they are black. Please, give me a break.

It was revealed today that Obama was asked about Don Imus' comments about the Rutgers basketball team, here's what he said to David Gregory on MSNBC;

OBAMA: I don't think MSNBC should be carrying the kinds of hateful remarks that Imus uttered the other day, and he has a track record of making those kinds of remarks. Look, I've got two daughters who are African-American, gorgeous, tall, and I hope at some point are interested enough in sports that they get athletic scholarships.

GREGORY: So he should be off the air, off MSNBC, and off CBS, off the air completely in your judgment?

OBAMA: Ultimately, you guys are going to have to make that view. He would not be working for me.
Do I myself think Obama is a racist? no. But I think he's not being honest here. Why is Imus's comments about the woman's basketball team 'hateful' yet, his own pastor's stated views are in fact more poisonous? Could it possibly be that Imus is white? Why is it easier for BO to pass off his pastors' (or former pastor) words as part of "the black experience" while condemning Imus for a slang term that many in the black community themselves use to describe women?

I think Obama has been guilty of duplicitous and opportunistic practices in trying to play both sides of the fence.

If I, as a catholic, went to mass and heard my priest preaching some of the things that Wright has said, I would get up and leave and never go back. I don't care about what happened 130 years ago, quit playing the victim. We have since moved on as far as civil rights and while we could do better, we are doing much better. Whereas the KKK used to hold much sway in our society, it has since been reduced to an almost kooky small cult of nutbags as it should be. It would also do ourselves and the nation a great service if people like Jeremiah Wright and to an extent, Obama, would quit trying to act as if we have not attoned for our sins with slavery and oppression. I have yet to hear the Japanese community express the same kind of victimization that was imposed on them in the 1940's after we were attacked at Pearl Harbor. It was a democratic president that sent them to the internment camps. And it wasn't just the japanese, it was italians, germans and others that suffered.

It's time for America to quit feeling guilty about our history. We paid for the sins of slavery at least with the deaths of over 620,000 of our own, to bring the whole issue of slavery to a head. The right people won. It dishonors the sacrifice of those who died in that terrible war to have to listen to these people that want to play the eternal victim. And for years now, we have been assaulted by the Jesse Jacksons, the Al Sharptons and the Jeremiah Wright's that can find no good in the progress we have made as a society as a whole. Instead, they want to keep playing the victim of "the man" and the "rich white people" instead of taking responsibility for themselves.

This is how the MSM does view Obama

On the return show from the writers strike, SNL nailed the Obama worship. I found this funny as the MSM is beside itself with their messianic praise of Barack Hussein Obama. This exaggerates just how the MSM is predominately liberal, no matter what many say. If you were from another planet, you might think he was the leader of the world or the second coming of Jesus. But SNL does nail how the media treats BO.

Al Gore wins the Nobel (Lenin) Peace Prize

So, Al the Bore wins a Nobel (Lenin) peace prize. I couldn't help but be struck at how much the award reminds me of a profile shot I have seen of one the left's favorite people, V.I. Lenin, otherwise known by many as "Vlad". He is also known as "Lenin" the leader of the Soviet October Revolution that was paraded around for a while like a circus freak after being dead and embalmed for so many years, so that the newly formed Russian government could make some money after the Soviet Union fell. Good times. Friends of mine who have taken Russian studies in College have told me about the old Soviet joke of "who is really buried in Lenin's tomb?"

So, considering that Gore and the rest of his ilk are "socialist marxist lite" I figured, what the hell. I mean, c'mon, even the "League of Nations" (aka the United Nations) and the American left are a thinly veiled, anti-American, Anti-Semite, Anti-Republican conservative anything for that matter organization. How much you wanna bet even George Soros has his hand in that gang of thieves?

So, anyway, I was wondering why the hell someone as irrelevant and a hypocrite as Gore would win such an award and voila! all I had to do was a little research. Here is a guy that is supposedly the juice on "Blowhard Smarming". Well, that's interesting since so many professional people in the scientific world have come out against his view of "BS", including Dr Roy Spencer, Ph.D who is an expert on all things dealing with the climate and Dr. Willam Gray, a pioneer in the science of seasonal hurricane forecasts. Now, people are fond of saying that "most" scientists believe that man-made global warming is a reality, but I have yet to really find 0ut who these people are as no one can give me a definitive list of who is who. If "BS" is happening, somehow I don't think 1) it has anything to do with human activity and 2) Science does not work on concensus.

Anyway, I have a problem with someone winning a Nobel (Lenin) Prize, considering the fact that it was given to of all people, Yasser (Mohammed Abdel Rahman Abdel Raouf Arafat al-Qudwa al-Husseini ) Arafat. For some odd reason, for all the years that I would see Yasser on TV, he always reminded me of a pot-bellied pig who needed a shave really bad. He was the modern day godfather of terrorism, purportedly representing the oppressed Palestinian people, yet himself was born in Egypt, albeit to Palestinian parents. That cat was a waste of human skin.

And then there is good ole' Jimmy Carter who lost all credibility with the "sweater speech" and of course, the 1979 Iran hostage crisis. Good ole' Jimmy just didn't have the stomach to back the shah, who was corrupt, but didn't do anything to encourage an election in Iran to replace said corrupt dictator meanwhile, he is also very vocal about recent American elections. He also didn't want to offend the Iranians and send in a force big enough to put the Iranian radicals in their place and rescue the hostages. Of course we know that there would have been casualities, but still, Jimmy was too worried about his legacy. It's interesting to have lived through 2 of the most inept Presidents in History, Clinton and Carter and now to see how whackos are rewarded by more whackos over absurd behavior. Go figure. I have often wondered just how different the world would be now had Ronald Reagan won the Republican nomination and General Election in 1976.

So, I stopped by the Powerline blog to do a little reading and found the following. I had to repost this as it is good. Here is some infomation on some of the past Nobel (Lenin) Peace Prize winners. You can read the rest here

Changing the climate, one winner at a time

When did the Nobel Peace Prize go off the tracks? Today's award to Al Gore and the IPCC "for their efforts to build up and disseminate greater knowledge about man-made climate change, and to lay the foundations for the measures that are needed to counteract such change" fits in with a subset of cosmopolitan frauds, fakers, murderers, thieves, and no-accounts going back about twenty years:

2005 MOHAMED ELBARADEI (joint winner). He's done such a nice job with Iran.

2004 WANGARI MAATHAI. The Kenyan ecologist peacefully teaches that the AIDS virus is a biological agent deliberately created by the Man.

2002 JIMMY CARTER JR., former President of the United States of America. A true cosmopolitan, he has undermined the foreign policy of his own country and vouched for the bona fides of tyrants and murderers all over the world.

2001 UNITED NATIONS, New York, NY, USA. KOFI ANNAN, United Nations Secretary General. Among other things, they have respectively served as the vehicle for, and presided over, one of the biggest scams in history.

1994 YASSER ARAFAT (joint winner), Chairman of the Executive Committee of the PLO, President of the Palestinian National Authority. He was a cold-blooded murderer both before and after receiving the award.

1992 RIGOBERTA MENCHU TUM, Guatemala. She is the notorious Guatemalan faker and author, sort of, of I, Rigoberta Menchu.

1988 THE UNITED NATIONS PEACE-KEEPING FORCES (snicker, that's good) New York, NY, U.S.A. Notwithstanding rapes and sex abuse committed by the team in Kosovo, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Guinea and the Congo, still doing fine work all over the world.

How about some recognition for the scientists of Laputa discovered by Gulliver in the course of his travels? Is it too late to recognize them for their fine efforts to extract sunlight from cucumbers? (Thanks to reader Anthony Ragan for his contribution.)

UPDATE: Reader Michael Slade thinks we need to extend the list a bit further back in time to include Betty Williams ’76, whom he deems "deserving of a place for her remarks about killing President Bush."

In their own words...

My friend Vincent, whom I used to work with at Fort KPNX, sent me this video. I don't really know how to preface this, as I think it speaks for itself. Let's see if it jogs anyone's memory about what was said about Saddam Hussein and the lead up to the war in Iraq. Now I can hear all the looney leftie libs and swamp fever KOS kids people saying, "there were never any WMD's found in Iraq, Bush lied" ad nauseum.

Well, good.

That means that we haven't lost a larger number of American GI's than we have already, due to Saddam 1) not using them had he decided to or 2) had no sufficient time to perfect them or deploy them or 3) was not able to supply Al Qaeda . I am still of the mind that they were there, may yet still be there and evidence from his own regime, i.e., Air Force and Intelligence officials, Iraqis, have said that during the lead up to the invasion, Saddam had the weapons or what was left of them, carted out on converted aircraft to destinations unknown, although a few of the Iraqi Air Force guys said it was Syria and or Iran. Hmmm.

But to get back to the following video, this is what the very people who now criticize the President and his decision to invade Iraq were saying as recently as 2004.

You know, let's put this in a little perspective. What would have happened to world history had we decided to invade Germany or Japan or both in say, 1935? Do you not think that might have saved countless innocent lives? And, Hitler did have a nuclear weapons program already in place for exploring the possibility of building a bomb that he could use against Britain, Russia and...the United States. Fortunately for all of us, things didn't happen the way Adolf planned.

Watch this video and see if it jogs your memory. When all is said and done, when our military is over there doing the job, would not the correct thing be to want them to complete the mission and WIN? Reagan put it best when asked about his cold war strategy, "We win, they lose." Too bad the Democrats don't have the balls to do the same.
