Uh-huh, right Hillary

So, her thighness now says, Elect me and the oil prices will drop immediately.

uh, Right.

After reading what she says, I really wonder, does America really want someone who thinks like this?

Elect me and oil prices instantly drop,

MANCHESTER, N.H. - Hillary Clinton predicted Saturday that just electing her President will cut the price of oil.

When the world hears her commitment at her inauguration about ending American dependence on foreign fuel, Clinton says, oil-pumping countries will lower prices to stifle America's incentive to develop alternative energy.

"I predict to you, the oil-producing countries will drop the price of oil," Clinton said, speaking at the Manchester YWCA. "They will once again assume, once the cost pressure is off, Americans and our political process will recede."

Clinton argued that former President Jimmy Carter in the late 1970s actually started moving in the right direction toward energy independence, but his successor, Ronald Reagan, "dismantled" that work.

"Because costs were low, people didn't care, didn't complain," she said.
She warned that folks shouldn't be grateful now if oil countries cut prices from near $100 a barrel to $60 or $70, and compared it to trying to boil a frog.

"You put him in hot water, it jumps right out, you put him in cold water and turn up the heat - he's a goner," she said. "We've got to figure out how were going to not be the frog in the cold water anymore."

Holiday Greetings

I am not much of a holiday person. I am sure there are people, many of them, that are the same as me. But probably not for the same reasons. Since I work in TV, I spend 10 hours a day, sometimes longer, in front of an on air monitor, doing my job, which is to make sure that the programming and commercials run okay. Now, when the holidays roll around, right about Halloween time, the advertisers start rolling out their holiday spots. We have 2 servers that have over 80 hours each in which to dub spots in for air. When the holidays roll around, we get really low on time and have to manage closely the amount of time each server has, so that we don't run out of time. Simply because we dub in so many holiday spots.

As an experiment, try sitting in front of one commercial TV channel for at least 10 hours a day for a minimum of 110 hours every 2 weeks. You will be surprised at how many variations of holiday music there are as advertisers have customized Christmas favorites for their spots. By the time the holidays are over, if I hear another Zales, Jared, Target, Walmart or Hyundai spot just to name a few, I want to kill somebody. Many of them try to be clever, the Hyundai spot for example has a choir singing "Duh" to "Carol of the Bells" and if you are one the people out there that still take LSD, chances are, it's a real freak out for you, as some of the special effects they use, I wonder if the director was dropping 'cid when he shot it. And those stupid jewelry spots just irritate me. Zales and Jared, grrrr.

So anyway, in the spirit of the season, I am posting what has become our favorite version of a Christmas carol here at the station. Now, this has been a favorite for some years as we are a warped lot and we always ask people when they want us to help them with something, "would you like an apple pie with that?" or "ding fries are done". It's a inside joke and I won't go into it. So without further ado, here is my contribution to the holiday season. Hope you all have a merry Christmas or Hanukkah or whatever and here is my contribution;

Consensus? Really Al?

So a report out of the US Congress says that over 400 scientists dispute the "consensus" of Man-Made Blowhard Smarming (BS). Many of the scientists are on the IPCC committee that back Gore with his hoax. The following is an article from the Washington Times and the link to the Senate Report is here.

You know, I heard a theory posed that the reason why Al Gore isn't running for President is that, he would have to debate BS and he can't do that with any degree of certainty. I think that theory holds water myself. Using climate models on computers, it's very easy to manipulate the data to suit your particular agenda.

Scientists doubt climate change

December 21, 2007

By S.A. Miller - More than 400 scientists challenge claims by former Vice President Al Gore and the United Nations about the threat of man-made global warming, a new Senate minority report says.

The scientists — many of whom are current or former members of the U.N. Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) that shares the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize with Mr. Gore for publicizing a climate crisis — cast doubt on the "scientific consensus" that man-made global warming imperils the planet.

"I find the Doomsday picture Al Gore is painting — a six-meter sea level rise, 15 times the IPCC number — entirely without merit," said Dutch atmospheric scientist Hendrik Tennekes, one of the researchers quoted in the report by Republican staff of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee.

"I protest vigorously the idea that the climate reacts like a home heating system to a changed setting of the thermostat: just turn the dial, and the desired temperature will soon be reached," Mr. Tennekes said in the report.

Sen. James M. Inhofe of Oklahoma, ranking Republican on the Environment and Public Works Committee, said the report debunks Mr. Gore's claim that the "debate is over."

"The endless claims of a 'consensus' about man-made global warming grow less-and-less credible every day," he said.

After a quick review of the report, Gore spokeswoman Kalee Kreider said 25 or 30 of the scientists may have received
funding from Exxon Mobil Corp. (editor; now watch how this comment will be taken by the drive-by media and used, she said "may" and it's a sure bet that the MSM will start saying that indeed these guys have been bought by Exxon Mobil)

Exxon Mobil spokesman Gantt H. Walton dismissed the accusation, saying the company is concerned about climate-change issues and does not pay scientists to bash global-warming theories.

"Recycling of that kind of discredited conspiracy theory is nothing more than a distraction from the real challenge facing society and the energy industry," he said. "And that challenge is how are we going to provide the energy needed to support economic and social development while reducing greenhouse-gas emissions."

The Republican report comes on the heels of Saturday's United Nations climate conference in Bali, Indonesia, where conferees adopted a plan to negotiate a new pact to create verifiable measurements to fight global warming in two years.

In the Senate report, environmental scientist David W. Schnare of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency said he was skeptical because "conclusions about the cause of the apparent warming stand on the shoulders of incredibly uncertain data and models. ... As a policy matter, one has to be less willing to take extreme actions when data are highly uncertain."

The hundreds of others in the report — climatologists, oceanographers, geologists, glaciologists, physicists and paleoclimatologists — voice varying degrees of criticism of the popular global-warming theory. Their testimony chal
Publish Postlenges the idea that the climate-change debate is "settled" and runs counter to the claim that the number of skeptical scientists is dwindling.

The report's authors expect some of the scientists will recant their remarks under intense pressure from the public and from within professional circles to conform to the global-warming theory, a committee staffer said.

Several scientists in the report said many colleagues share their skepticism about man-made climate change but don't speak out publicly for fear of retribution, according to the report.

"Many of my colleagues with whom I spoke share these views and report on their inability to publish their skepticism in the scientific or public media," atmospheric scientist Nathan Paldor, professor of Dynamical Meteorology and Physical Oceanography at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, said in the report.

The IPCC has about 2,500 members.

HEATED DEBATE

The following are comments from some of the more than 400 scientists in a Republican report on global warming:

•"Even if the concentration of 'greenhouse gases' double, man would not perceive the temperature impact."

Oleg Sorochtin of the Institute of Oceanology at the Russian Academy of Sciences

•"I find the Doomsday picture Al Gore is painting — a six-meter sea level rise, 15 times the [U.N. Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change] number — entirely without merit. ... I protest vigorously the idea that the climate reacts like a home heating system to a changed setting of the thermostat: just turn the dial, and the desired temperature will soon be reached."

Atmospheric scientist Hendrik Tennekes, former research director at the Netherlands' Royal National Meteorological Institute

•"The hypothesis that solar variability and not human activity is warming the oceans goes a long way to explain the puzzling idea that the Earth's surface may be warming while the atmosphere is not. The [greenhouse-gas] hypothesis does not do this. ... The public is not well served by this constant drumbeat of false alarms fed by computer models manipulated by advocates."

David Wojick, expert reviewer for U.N. Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change

•"The media is promoting an unprecedented hyping related to global warming. The media and many scientists are ignoring very important facts that point to a natural variation in the climate system as the cause of the recent global warming."

Chief Meteorologist Eugenio Hackbart of the MetSul Meteorologia Weather Center in Sao Leopoldo-Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil

•"There's no need to be worried. It's very interesting to study [climate change], but there's no need to be worried."

Anton Uriarte, a professor of physical geography at the University of the Basque Country in Spain

These people are nuts, plain and simple

From the UK telegraph. These Blowhard smarming (BS) people are just nuts. As far as I am concerned, you can hug all the trees you want in Britain or California, but just leave it there.

Chief scientist in sports cars warning to women

By Richard Gray, Science Correspondent
Last Updated: 2:55am GMT 17/12/2007

Women must stop admiring men who drive sports cars if they want to join the fight against global warming, the Government's chief scientist has urged.

Professor Sir David King said governments could only do so much to control greenhouse gas emissions and it was time for a cultural change among the British public.

And he singled out women who find supercar drivers "sexy", adding that they should divert their affections to men who live more environmentally-friendly lives.

His comments were greeted with anger by sports car drivers who insisted that their vehicles' greenhouse gas emissions were tiny compared with those from four-wheel-drive vehicles.

Sir David, who is due to retire as the UK's Chief Scientific Adviser at the end of the year, said individuals needed to change their behaviour.

"I was asked at a lecture by a young woman about what she could do and I told her to stop admiring young men in Ferraris," he said.

"What I was saying is that you have got to admire people who are conserving energy and not those wilfully using it."

Sir David, who persuaded the Government to start using the Toyota Prius, a hybrid car that claims to have lower emissions than most conventional cars, added: "Government has so many levers that it can pull - when it comes to the business sector it is quite effective.

"As soon as you come to the individual, however, they will buy a Ferrari, not because it is cheap to run or has low carbon dioxide emissions, but because young women think it is sexy to see men driving Ferraris. That is the area where a culture change is needed."

A Ferrari F430 produces 420g/km of carbon dioxide - more than four times as much as the hybrid petrol-electric Prius.

Car enthusiasts criticised Sir David for attempting to lay the blame for climate change on a small number of drivers who own sports cars.

Peter Everingham, secretary the Ferrari Owners Club, said: "Nearly 90 per cent of people who buy Ferraris are married so they are not looking to impress women by buying their car.

"There are fewer than 5,600 cars made a year by Ferrari. To suggest Ferraris are a factor in climate change is unhelpful."

Sir David, who will next month publish a book on climate change called Hot Topic, insists his comments were intended as an example of the scale of culture change that is needed in society in order to combat global warming.

As chief scientist he has been instrumental in driving the climate change issue to the top of the political agenda.

Three years ago he sparked controversy when he claimed that global warming was a more serious threat than that of global terrorism.

Sir David said: "For a while I was quite unpopular at Number 10, but the point is that the Prime Minister then understood this was a very important issue.

"Now I would go one step further and say that our civilisation has never had to face up to as big a challenge as the climate change challenge of the 21st century.

Really? This is not suited to air on NBC?

So, the very network I work for, NBC, has been in the news recently, other than for the lost revenue from the writers strike. It seems that a non-profit group (conservative of course) called Freedom'swatch.org wanted to buy air time to run an ad saying thank you to the military. Some pinhead lawyer (whom by the way was found out to have contributed to all the usual suspects, Clinton, Peolosi, Reid, etc) said "nope" claiming it was too political or controversial since it promoted Freedomswatch's website. Huh. Below is the very ad they wanted to run. You decide. I will post more when I have more time.

Happy Birthday Megan!

My beautiful daughter Megan turns 19 today. She is one special person and is very gifted. I have 5 beautiful children, 4 girls and a son and as I told Meg years ago, all my children are like the strings on a guitar, each makes a different note, but all are just as important to the music. Meg has done some great things in her 19 years and I have joked to her that I wonder when she will either become the Secretary of State or the US ambassador to the UN as she has taken a few overseas trips. Her mother has done a remarkable job with raising our kids and deserves credit for how our kids have turned out. Meg is going to do some great things and has already.
I love you Meg and I miss you. Hope to see you soon!

;)

This guy has some serious issues

While I was watching some of the GOP clips on Youtube, I ran across this video from a subscriber named Sadvipran. It was hard to watch, but this guy was lamenting all the problems of the world. I think this guy has some serious problems with himself and really should not worry about the world, the world will take care of itself. If you can watch this, I apologise for the very first part, he uses some choice words, but listen to what he is saying, he gets mad at his webcam!

here is part 1;

here is part 2; notice that he says it's part 2 and then by the end of it, he says "that's the end of part 3". Me thinks this cowboy has 1) ingested some really good acid 2) smoked some really good pot 3) both or 4) has some serious issues that he needs to resolve. I would not be surprised to see him pop up in the news later as a "future serial killer of America".

and then I have to wonder if loony guy wasnt't the inspiration for Nicholas Fehn, the political comedian on SNL played by Fred Armisen. A lot of talking without saying a word.

Everything is caused by "Blowhard Smarming" (Global Warming)

The American Thinker published a piece from Dr. John Brignell, a British engineering professor, who runs a website called Numberwatch.

From the American Thinker;

He has compiled what has to be the most complete collection of links to media stories ascribing the cause of everything under the sun to global warming. He has already posted more than six-hundred links.

The site's stated mission is to expose all the "scares, scams, junk, panics and flummery cooked up by the media, politicians, bureaucrats and so-called scientists and others that try to confuse the public with wrong numbers" Professor Brignell's motto is "Working to Combat Math Hysteria."

This exercise is not merely a lark to show the abject absurdity of this global warming nonsense. Brignell wrote a great book titled Sorry Wrong Number, The Abuse of Measurement on this very subject.

Dr. Brignell is accepting additions to the list so if you have any send them along.

_________________________________________________________

So, I will repost the list and if you want, you can click on any link and you will see a story about that subject that is somehow the result of "Blowhard Smarming".
